Larry - Most folks would say white lithium grease. But I prefer Sil-Glyde, an orangey-colored lubricant, made by American Grease Stick Co., Muskegon, MI. White lithium grease tends to dry out after a while, while Sil-Glyde doesn't. Check your local auto parts store, which is where I found it. Don't know if it's available on line.
