Re: [Chrysler300] R there new ones?

Oh, and by the way, you'll have to search for "intake manifold silencer pad"

Larry,
Info I have is from Bill Rolik Enterprises. He has repros for $45.00.
www.billrolikenterprises.com

Here's a copy of what he has as a description:

Another new reproduction item from Bill Rolik Enterprises! The long-obsolete
Intake Manifold Silencer Package, used on most 361,383,400,426 Wedge and 440
(but not 440+6) engines from 1959 through 1974 (and listed in all of the
Chrysler parts books as such in Part Type Code 9-41-1), was intended to both
quiet lifter noise and provide a heat barrier for the area under the intake
manifold. The two silencer pads, duplicated here in the correct trapezoid
shapes, and with the same high density rigid insulation as the originals, are
included in the package, as well as the precision cut galvanized retainer plate
that attaches at the rear of the engine underneath the three fasteners and
reinforcement bar for the intake manifold valley pan/gasket. Both items were
patterned directly from NOS pieces I have on hand. These items were originally
installed at the engine plant, and were painted as part of a complete engine
assembly. #1879747-P

The two bags of insulation, foil wrapped, that live under the intake manifold
and above the valley cover on big blocks....are these still for sale? Are they
of any real use?
