Good morning, Over the last few days I had my hood come down 3 times, and if I didn't have my wheaties for breakfast, I don't think this would have had a happy ending. I was wondering if anybody has engineered a hood prop that would keep the hood up safely when opened? I don't want to do any major mods to the car, but would like to come up with something that would look good and give me a chance to relax when I am under there. I have been using a prop that is expandable and just put it in (providing I remember to have it within reach when needed). I have tried to find a set of new springs with no luck, so a 'prop' of some kind seems like the next best thing. I would like to fabricate something that would be permanently attached to the car. As always, any advice and input will be appreciated.
