I have noticed that cars which seem to always attract the most attention on E Bay are "original" cars. "Custom (paint, upholstery, etc) is a turn-off for many people. I read an article several years ago where the author said the value of a car is determined by how fast you could liquidate it and what the value would be then. He said 57 Chevys were the tops in that regard. A dead stock 57 Bel Air 2dr hardtop can be most easily liquidated for top dollar. We never know what lies around the corner for any of us and we may need to liquidate or our estate may want to. I believe a nice car which is totally stock would bring the best money, although I would wonder about my car (Oyster White 300H) compared to an identical red 300H.
