Don and others, The excellent article about exhaust systems by Dale Burkhardt appeared in Vol. X Number II & III of the Club News (Winter 1984 and Spring 1984). The article included numerous illustrations as well, including the F special headers, which are different than the J/K as Don noted. The F special headers are also noted to be the same as the rare dealer or field installed 62 super stock packages. X3 NO, NO, NO. F special exhaust headers did not have provisions for exhaust heat from the headers. They used hot water to heat the area under the carbs. I have pictures to support this. Gil, do you remember which old club news had the article about exhaust manifolds? I know I have it, but don't remember what issue. I think there were pictures there too. X3 Hi To All, It has been suggested that the Mystery Parts May Be: Headers from a 1960 Chrysler 300-F Special 400 HP 4-speed? They had headers, a larger exhaust and low resistance mufflers. Anyone have any thoughts to substantiate this (for or against)? http://gallery.me.com/awrdoc#100118 <http://gallery.me.com/awrdoc#100118&view=grid&bgcolor=black&sel=0> &view=grid&bgcolor=black&sel=0 Thanks, Tony Hi Again, For the benefit of those that think the blue header mystery part is the same as the tan J/K header, I have traced the runners of the blue part and superimposed them on the tan J/K header. Even though the perspective is different on both parts, it is clear that the curvatures of the runners on the blue header is different especially the #1 cylinder (leftmost runner). What vehicle, engine and year(s) were these BLUE headers from??? http://gallery.me.com/awrdoc#100118 <http://gallery.me.com/awrdoc#100118&view=grid&bgcolor=black&sel=0> &view=grid&bgcolor=black&sel=0 Thanks, Tony Hi To All, Please go to the following link: http://gallery.me.com/awrdoc#100118 <http://gallery.me.com/awrdoc#100118&view=grid&bgcolor=black&sel=0> &view=grid&bgcolor=black&sel=0 Click on thumbnail to enlarge. If you wish, you can download the photo by clicking on the download icon. The picture was taken at a Mopar Nationals swap meet in 2008. There are 2 sets of long rams and a set of exhaust headers painted BLUE. I superimposed one side of a set of J/K headers with a tan color to compare to the mystery BLUE set of headers. The curvatures do not match. What vehicle, engine and year were these BLUE headers from??? Please Reply All with your answers. Enjoy.
