RE: [Chrysler300] '57 Body mount pads & trans lockout switch advice needed

Keith, others who may know better/more, when I did my supercharged 300C, most common, first thought of supplier, at that time only had 'generic' rubber pieces/parts. However the originals are round just the same as generic, but have a small diam stepped/raised centre around the bolts/holes. this raised step was I believe to help locate the body better, by it/them fitting exactly into steel frame body mount holes.

So I used best originals with the step/raised part - under the body between the frame - and new generic ones for the other half. I posted pictures of the originals on the Club Members car site, under the listing for my Supercharged 300C - BUT BEWARE - IGNORE the front mounts setup, regards extra steel spacers/washers, as since then I believe the extra spacers and washers were to raise the front of the body, so to gain extra height/clearance for the supercharger which was installed before it left the Dealers for Daytona Feb '57. (They are I now believe not on normal 300Cs.)

If you want, you can get suitable same thickness rubber in sheeting about 6 inches wide from rubber supply place, and cut the rubbers you need with a correct size hole saw, then drill centre hole to correct size . Your only remaing problem might be the small rubber 'button mounts' that go under trunk floor ahead of rearmost mounts - Gary Goers supplied those super fast for me - or re-use your originals if they OK ?!

Started and moved out from under cover my driver 300C for first time in ages - I hoping our wet/crazy weather near finished, but then tonight's weather says possible rain in morning !!! What the !!!!
Anyone know a source for the trans starter lockout switch - or can you fiddle with/ repair them - NOT the vacuum manifold switch, but the one that has the wire going onto terminal on side of trans under car - looks like I have two crook ones, car not starting when push neutral button, and testing points to it being the fault, not making the needed earth.

Christopher in Australia, late Sunday, humid like rain outside now

Subject: [Chrysler300] '57 Body mount pads

Does anyone have body mount pads available for the '57. Any leads appreciated. My old ones will do, but I'd rather go new if I can. I'm giddy to know we'll need them shortly.

Thanks guys.
