My Challenger SRT8 came from the factory with Mobil 1 synthetic oil.....

Can't speak to synthetic oil in a G, but I have always run it my other
vehicles. What I have been told (any followed) is to never use synthetic
for the first 5K miles. It's actually too slick and wont allow the
engine to break in properly.
