Lenny, There were a very few C300's that were factory equipped with A/C. The club maintains the serial numbers of such cars. The truth of the matter is there are/were probably more "dealer installations" that the public thinks are factory. Besides Imperials for the '55 year I would suspect any Chrysler product (with the exception of station wagons) could be factory ordered with A/C. A side note: The air scoops/vents on the rear fenders are not totally necessary for air to work. They simply bring in fresh air and can manually be closed off via levers within the trunk. In today's world this would be referred to as re-circulating the air within the vehicle.
