Re: [Chrysler300] battery Q?

Bob:

I had purchased 3 of your batteries from you since 1987. The third one( which I probably bought from you at the Folsom or was it Sacramento???,, event so many years ago) is now in my 300 B and has been there for likely 8 or 9 years and still doing well. However I do carry a battery pack jumper with me when I attend any car events,,,,,just in case.

I hate to think that the next one, I'll have to go off to Restoration Battery and pay 3 times as much.

  John,

Whether they have been in warm weather the last 5 years really doesn't
matter. At 7-8 years of age they are at the end of their useful life and
should be replaced to assure continued reliability. Just my opinion after
working many years in the battery business.

Almost 300 related (since many of us use our Rams to pull our 300s)

Q for the mechanics out there:

On an '03 Ram Cummins with dual batteries, mine just started making a
  hesitation starting.
Are both batteries used to crank the engine?
Can you replace one or I'm guessing both? They are 7-8 years old now; been
in warm whether the last 5 years.

  Thanks, JD
