[Chrysler300] using pullers on 300 crankshafts

No one else has said something pretty obvious later - when using a puller bolted up to the centre part of a 300 crank damper - harmonic balancer - FIRST make sure you put something like a big/heavy/thick washer into/against the end of the crank where you took the main damper bolt out, that holds the damper/balancer onto the crank - this will stop the long threaded centre bit of the puller wrecking the thread in the crank that the big damper securing bolt screws into.

 

The washer, or if puller comes with special end already, will protect the thread. Use something, or you will ruin thread in crank, and bolt will not screw back in later.
