Ray Could You explain more about the window motors? Is one of the two wires a ground? if so what makes the window go one way or the other? Most importantly, is knowing polarity, and what is ground. Most things use the case as ground, but window motors have 2 wires, and the case is NOT ground. No big thing, just won't work. Hook up the + to one wire and touch the - to the other. If it runs, switch the wires and it will run the other way. The wiper motors usually have power all the time, with a segment dead. That is the park position. When you turn them on, that segment gets power, and the motor goes round and round. Turn it off, the segment goes dead, and the motor stops. What would be a good home set up, and items needed in order to do this properly for a 12v auto?
