Hi All, I am finally close to swapping the standard 383 engine with a 413 (T41 block) in my '63 300 Conv. The 413 came out of a '63 New Yorker. It has a bit of rash on one piston wall, but I was told it could be sleeved, if needed. The new heads (open chamber) are on the 383, but will be put on the 413. I have 0.040 over pistons, rings, new stock cam, lifters, oil press. switch, etc. All parts that are needed, I will get including a new timing chain. a) What is a reasonable price to do all machining, assembly, and balance of engine? b) What is a reasonable price to pull the 383 and install the 413. I am just checking with all you 'experienced' 300 fans just to make sure I don't get taken to the cleaners. All your opinions are appreciated. I had some of this information, but have forgotten it over time. Thanks for your assistance, in advance. Regards, Mark Lindahl '63 300 Conv.
