Mercedes Benz has had a 300 model for a long time. A brief review of pictures did not indicate any with the trim piece shown. I find it ironic that they have been marketing a C300 at least since 2008. Packard had a Model 300 in 1951-52 with a 329 cid 8-cyl engine, but photos do not indicate the trim piece. Ford had a base model 300 in late 50?s and early 60?s, but I couldn't see any with those trim pieces on the outside. Nissan had a 300Z car for several years. 1-Ton Dodge trucks were D-300's & W-300's for a number of years. And there were Dodge 300 sedans in the early 60's. That 300 brand label has been magic for years and was hung on a lot of 3-liter cars. Everyone wants in on the act. While Googling images, I came across this interesting shot of a couple of Chrysler C-300?s on a race track, one being driven by Henry Ford and the other by Lee Petty. Both are two-tone cars. http://www.300b.info/1955LeePettyHenryFord300sb.jpg This picture is included in the superb Dan Elliot website STRICTLY STOCK CHAMPIONS OF 1955 AND 1956 : http://www.300b.info/ a must-visit for fans of the '55-'56.
