I sucessfully repainted the letters in my 61 grill on the car this way Cleaned the bottom of the letters where I wanted the paint to stick with a wire brush on a dremel Masked off the letters and the front of the car with masking tape and paper Took Vaseline on my finger and put a coat around each letter where the masking tape missed coverage...unwanted paint on top of Vaseline is easy to wipe off....... Sprayed numerous layers of Automotive spray touch-up paint into the letters **letting it dry **between layers And until it looked perfect in my opinion Then removed the masking tape and paper and Vaseline and it looks great and has held up for years now..........
