If this is the car noted by Gil, it was sold at the Atlantic City Classic car auction in February of 2004 by the same fellow who had it at the Newport meet. His name was Butch something, and we saw him at the sale. I did speak with the person who bought it, and advised him of the club, but he didn't seem particularly interested. That was the last time I saw the car. Pete Fitch In a message dated 1/13/2010 10:45:08 P.M. If so, it indeed has been around the "for sale" circuit for a long time. LC4 1630 attended the 2002 Spring Meet in Newport, Rhode Island. At that time it had an engine from a 1957 Imperial. (All right--so does my 300C!) It sure is a pretty car in the photos, although one wonders why one would put all that money in a resto and be satisfied with that ugly battery and improper hold down. Also causing doubt as to quality of detail were the bumper bracket and attachment bolts which appeared to all be painted black right along with the frame. For general info, a 300D this late in the model year should have the mylar rectangles on the door trim panel carpet. 300ly, Gil C. Having a valid tag with a nice history attached, thanks to a good legitimate write-up on ebay or the like and an ususpecting buyer could end up a victim. Deposits and full payments are often paid well in advance of pick-up. > > > > Buyer Beware....always. > > > > Ryan Hill > > > > > > To: pennsy300@...; chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > From: nekramer@... > Date: Wed, 13 Jan 2010 01:11:20 -0500 > Subject: Re: [Chrysler300] That Coral 300D Coupe > > > > > > A valid reason to them would be that with the VIN someone could presumably > check on the car's history.
