Hi hemi fans I am making one good hemi distributor out of two and each has different advance springs, neither of which I trust as originals. One has a very light and a light spring, but has had the advance slots brazed to reduce total timing. I think it is also from an earlier hemi. The other I think is from 1957 but has two identical heavier springs. If anyone could tell me the right wire diameters for the standard 300C distributor or where to get them from, it might save some trouble as I haven't yet fired up my newly rebuilt motor to experiment with. If there is an accepted better modification for the timing curve, let me know. Note that when I got it, the motor was running a dual point Mallory which is probably a better distributor, except it doesn't have vacuum advance.
