This Fall meet will be at beautiful and fun Branson, MO. Situated in the picturesque Ozark Mountains of southwestern Missouri, it is a refreshing location to partake in all sorts of entertainment. Branson's motto is "AMERICA, AS IT SHOULD BE". Marnie and I have enjoyed many long weekends taking in shows, museums, rides, dining, and shopping in this star spot of the mid west.

Area '57 is a complex that encompasses the Dick Clark Theater in the basement of which is home to '57 Heaven, the Glenn Patch collection of 65 impeccably restored 1957 vehicles of North America. Adjoining the Theater is the '57 Grill and Club '57 studio. The Legends in Concert show is held at the Dick Clark Theater, which we will be able to attend as a group at a fantastic rate of $18.50 per person. The host hotel, the Ramada Inn and Conference center is located at Area '57 along with a car show facility, two free-standing hospitality suites, and abundant designated parking for tow vehicles and trailers. All meet events except the luncheon business meeting will be held at Area '57. On Thursday we will tour '57 Heaven, lunch at the '57 Grill and enjoy The Legends in Concert show at the Dick Clark Theater. Total cost per person for all three venues will be $38.50. (about 50% price savings via the group rate)

The business meeting will be held at The Andy Williams Moon River Grill during lunch on Friday. There will be two menu choices available: The Gold choice for $12.99 per person from which you may select a Chicken Caesar Salad, Quiche of the Day, Asian Chicken Salad Wrap, or Fruit Salad and Soup of the Day combo; or The Platinum choice for $14.99 per person from which you have the option of Chicken Pot Pie, Prime Rib Sandwich, Grilled Chicken Breast, or Vegetable Lasagna.

George Riehl will conduct a TorqueFlite transmission clinic in one of the hospitality suites after the business meeting luncheon on Friday afternoon for those who would like to learn the mysteries of that box beyond the push-buttons!

Back by popular demand, LETTER CAR JEOPARDY! will be held at the Ramada Conference center on Friday evening. There will be three rounds of single and double JEOPARDY! One for officers, directors, and letter car consultants called the Stump the Professors Round, and two for shall we say students of the letter car ownership experience? Contestants will be able to exude their knowledge of The Brutes by giving the questions to the answers of various aspects of the letter cars and the Hurst as well as Chrysler 300 Club International lore. A beneficent anonymous donor has provided funds for stellar prizes to the winners and runners up in this most enjoyable venue! Don't make the mistake of scheduling a show to see the Baldknobbers or Andy Williams on Friday night and miss out on the fun and learning!

Since this is a Fall meet, it will be a Concours event where registered club owners can have their car(s) judged. The judging will take place Friday morning with the results announced along with Peoples Choice winners at the Awards Banquet on Saturday evening at the Ramada banquet center. The banquet will consist of a buffet for $25 per person which includes Beef and Chicken entrees, salad, rolls, rice pilaf, corn, green beans, dessert, coffee, tea, and a special cake prepared for the event!

Time has been allotted in the schedule to maximize your ability to take in shows, attractions, shopping, etc. in Branson. Wednesday and Thursday evening, and Friday and Saturday afternoon will be open for you to enjoy all that Branson has to offer or just spend time in the parking lot or hospitality suite. It is highly recommended that you purchase tickets well in advance of arriving for the meet. This can be accomplished on line via www.bransonshows.com or calling 1-800-987-6298. Tickets will be on sale in the hotel lobby upon arrival. Popular shows and attractions have a tendency to sell out rather quickly so it is best to plan and purchase in advance.

There will be plenty of space for the car show on Saturday from 10:00am - 1:30pm. Hoses will be available on site for car washing and detailing. Around-the-clock security has been arranged.

RJ Kern, our son, a professional photographer (known to many past meet attendants since Fall, 2006) will be available during the meet to arrange special photo shoots of your cars. As the meet approaches, RJ will be posting on the list server and will have available through me (for those not on the server who plan to bring a car to the meet) a variety of photo options, prices, and time slots to sign up prior to the meet. He also will be composing a CD of the highlights of the meet which will be on sale after the banquet on Saturday night.
