Wayne Graefen, Who the hell are you and why do you consistently belittle this club? Over the past two or three months you have done nothing but stir the pot. Here's an idea for you: Instead of bitching about the club, its officers, and how the club functions, why don't you do something constructive to make some positive changes. It is my understanding that this group site was conceived for club members to share information on Chrysler 300 Letter cars, not to post a lot of?crap about how one person feels about another. I'm tired of your personal attacks filling up my email box. Please take your complaints to a business meeting so that they can be addressed and acted upon there, not on this site. Either you or I need to leave this site permanently, and I gotta tell you, it won't be me. Most sincerely, Mark Souders 300H Mohrsville, PA -----Original Message----- From: Wayne Graefen <wgraefen@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: Intl 300 <Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>; Owen Grigg <ram300@xxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wed, 22 Apr 2009 8:44 pm Subject: [Chrysler300] Re: Suggestion for a concours judging/restoration book The question of this club's directors and board and directors should be: WHY HAS THERE BEEN NO WILL IN THIS CLUB TO DOCUMENT ANY ASPECT OF THESE CARS BEYOND THE 300C HANDBOOK OVER ALL THE DECADES THIS CLUB HAS EXISTED? In other words, what is wrong in this club with either the personalities or the characters or the style of leadership, or the business model, or what has DRIVEN AWAY the types of members that would have gotten involved in doing such projects? I am suggesting that there is something drastically wrong behind the scenes of this club that is keeping this club from properly supporting cars that SHOULD be known throughout the old car hobby as the closest thing America had to a post WWII equivalent to the Duesenberg. The concours restorations barely exist to compete around the country with the Packards, Lincolns and Cadillacs which outnumber them exponentially at shows. And it is NOT just because of production numbers. We can not keep the doctors and lawyers in this club to do the $200,000 restorations of the $100,000 cars like those cars receive. Those same folks may come to this club having found a 300 but they look around at our squabbles and total lack of resources and they get out. This is a second rate car club folks. Don't make any mistake about that. I'll toot my own horn just a little. My 300C Handbook exists because I am NOT an insider to the old guard of this club. I was a "westerner" and that meant I could not join the eastern power base of the 300 International. I didn't mind that. I had experience doing two other Handbooks and I had a 26K mile C convertible and I just started writing and y'all ended up with a Handbook. I have sent out close to TWENTY complimentary handbooks to others who SHOULD HAVE started on handbooks of their specialty years. NO ONE DID. This is an ungrateful club that takes everything somebody will give to it in work and effort and then when the Beilby issue blew up OVER A THREE YEAR PERIOD and got bad and I asked for help from your directors in the last two months I GOT NOTHING except from John Lazenby. Then that expanded and I pleaded with the full Board which is defined as the officers. I got NO SUPPORT. There is STILL NO SUPPORT nor answers to date. So if someone wants to bust their tail for the next three or four years working on Handbook projects, y'all go ahead, but heed my warning which is not an original one but was first written a couple of thousand years ago: DON'T CAST YOUR PEARLS AMONG SWINE.
