I certainly don't want to sound as though I am ungrateful for responses to a question I have asked, but I want to make a clear statement that Easy Off Oven Cleaner WILL damage paint!
I believe that Dave's comments were regarding the radiator which is removed from the car currently and scheduled to be re-painted.
I use Easy Off quite liberally (a unique situation for me) whenever beginning a restoration or engine, trans, rear-end rebuild. This includes engine bays.
Maybe it is just that I am a little girly man, and not worthy of driving a Kenworth (although I wish I could). But this most definitely willl damage the paint.
Thanks for the responses so far.
Richard
