Tom, It is probably "Flash Chrome" which should be able to be removed by a stainless buffing specialist that must buff through the finish. John Cote Guilford, CT. -----Original Message----- From: Thomas Cox <tdcox@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Sat, 28 Feb 2009 7:29 pm Subject: [Chrysler300] 300F Hubcaps I have many hub caps for the 300F and find that all of them have a film on them that is very difficult to remove. I have had no trouble polishing all the stainless for the F but can't seem to get the film off the hubcaps. It seems like a clear coating but is nearly impervious to fine sand paper and polishing compound. Anyone have any suggestions as to how to remove the film prior to buffing and polishing?
