RE: [Chrysler300] Fwd: Check out Chrysler's Hidden Coffers - Forbes.com

Anyone caring about Chrysler's ultimate survival might think Bob J is right (see his post below) when he said reading comments posted by others re Chrysler and Cerberus involvement with other Companies is most interesting.

Chrysler has first had Mercedes come in, and for sure some new product resulted. And as other comments noted, many loyal/good staff also went out the door.
And when Mercedes got sick of it all, or they had what they wanted, or it was just 'too hard' - whatever - they exit. Now the current mob are in, Chrysler still perhaps desperately needs to find what it wants to be/do, and the 'buck finally hits home' re where the world is money/job/future wise in late 2008/2009.

And this article poses the question (I think) are the new owners there too truly make Chrysler work again, or just for now grab some easy taxpayer dollars, maybe worry about what is next later ?!! And interesting was reader comment re how sometimes the non American Car Makers 'bend the rules' sometimes with seeming home Govt approval.?!
So all in all, what a messy situation, where there is seemingly govt approval of uneven playing fields, and asset stripping groupings that give not a toss for the 'car', rather what bucks, $$$$$s, can be made, bugger the history of the Name, the local factories closed and demolishes, lives thrown on scrap heaps !!?

For the sake of America, and Chrysler, other things worth saving, here is hoping your new US President sees through the murk and muck, and gives Chrysler what it may need $$wise, plus also sees if US carmakers are given $$$s, he also insists that have CEOs and management that actually desperately want to build world class cars that embody what the name behind them should stand for.
America, most of the world, is in a difficult situation re seeing prosperity/jobs in the future, and now is the time to get tough on Corporate cowboys, and instead get behind those who want to see things right again, only product buyers want being made?
Plus maybe some eventual new true 300s, ones that don't 'weigh a ton' (actually closer to two tons currently?! Gas prices are going to go up again for sure, and weight is going to kill any future car, so weight has to go, and now?)

Christopher Australia (on our national day - it celebrating first white guys/poms/us, landing in Sydney late 1700s, and since then showing local blacks who lived here in harmony with everything/nature for thousands of years, how to do it better by working and battling to pay off everything by retirement what we think we need to do what they did with nothing - so who are maybe the truly smart fellas !!?)

ps to now get to what Bob J read, if you click on link in Carlton's original post, you may now have to type in "Cerberus Bailout" in search box - that if I spelt Cerberus right here.
