Look in the local Pennysavers, Auto Shoppers, etc. for people renting garages. I currently rent four garages behind a multi-family house in a safe residential neighborhood for $60 each. These are about two miles from my house. I found these eight years ago in the local shopper. 

Another good place to look is Craigslist.
