Certainly glad to hear all is well for the time being. Wildfires have to be 
one of the scariest disasters there are. (At least here in Florida they can 
give us warnings that provide significant time to prepare for our 
hurricanes!) Well, keep yourselves, your families, and your 300s safe.

We had firemen stationed at the top of our cul-de-sac Monday and Tuesday
nights. At 12:30 AM Tuesday morning, they came over the loudspeaker
requesting voluntary evacuation. We were told that the fire was 2 ridges
over. We stayed but did not sleep the rest of the night and kept the TV on
(We had constant coverage!).

Yesterday was quiet and clear in our neighborhood but today there is smoke
in the air. It’s not over yet. The boys are gassed up and ready to roll.

Hello Louis and all!

I heard there was a state of emergency in West Hills, So. California due to
one of the fires burning out of control! By now (very early on Wed.
morning), I'm sure it has subsided. I just wanted to know as well as a bunch
of others I'm sure, that Louis and family were okay. Also, that Big Yellow
and the OC are fine as well. Dan Reitz also lives close by (in Northridge)!!
I hope you, your family, and your F are all okay as well! As for where I am
further south towards San Diego, believe it or not there were a couple of
fires as well but we're all okay as well as Melissa.
Speaking of her, she's still awaiting an engine rebuild. As many of you
read my G (Melissa), should have been already on the road but due to $, the
economy, whatever, etc., I'm looking at another 8 to 10
months............ughhh! Hey, (as Lawren Welks once said, 'when you got your
health, you have just about everything!' You all take care!!
