Although my AAJ disc brakes (front and rear) stopped the car very well, I was getting tired of the low pedal on my 57 300C coupe, so I used a 1986 Corvette Disc Brake master cylinder. It had to be modified to fit next to the hemi valve covers but works extremely well. I have posted some pictures at the location: http://imageevent.com/idsnowman/master The master cylinder had the "bale" type latches on it, so I took them off and drilled a screw hole into the center of the MC to hold the top on. I worked out well with no leaking. Now I have tons of pedal and feel a lot more at ease in traffic. It looks huge but it clears the rams. It works better than the small late 60's A-body cast iron reservoir than I had in there... it's the one recommended by Dan. I think I had trouble with that one due to my 4 wheel discs compared to Dan's disc/drum combo. If you're only going with front discs I'd stay with the cast iron A-body unit since it looks like it belongs there. That particular unit holds twice the fluid as the single reservoir unit Mike Laiserin **************Looking for simple solutions to your real-life financial challenges?
