Well, this 4 spd guy finally isolated the leak on his 64 Sport to the trans gasket, and rear main seal. My work is cut out again! My question is: I have a cork and a rubber/paper gasket along with a new filter. It seems like the old gasket had no adhesive on it at all, and it was remove in one gentle pull . It did not break or rip. Could be the rubber/paper type. Which one has the best longevity, is their a seperate sealer for both? I used a light yellow contact cement for the 413 K oil pan gasket and it worked fine. The amount of fluid that was allowed to drain was about 2 qts. Is this normal? The trans pan had a light grey film inside, after the oil drained out. No metal pieces were found. Yeah! I will check the pan for warpage with a straight edge prior to installing the new gasket. Type F (thanks John) fluid will be used. All guidance ans experience is welcome. thanks all. 300K and Sport...Dave [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------------------ To send a message to this group, send an email to: Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx For list server instructions, go to http://www.chrysler300club.com/yahoolist/inst.htm For archives go to http://www.forwardlook.net/300-archive/Yahoo!
