Thanks Wayne. Interestingly, earlier this year at the Half Moon Bay car show here in the Bay Area of Northern California, another of the same Chrysler Air Raid sirens was fired up for all to experience. They're coming out of the hills so to say. This formerly abandoned, but still somewhat U.S. Government property, post-war siren, had slipped into anonymity sleeping atop the hills in Berkeley, CA. It took a couple of guys a few years of cajoling and promising the authorities, but eventually this "senior" centurion and keeper of the gate was given back its voice. They are remarkable to see and experience. You may have one out of sight in your area so start asking around. Watch for one at shows near you. Ed J.
