The correct jack for a 55 will only have a small arm that will fit under the bumper and hopefully not slide off when jacking it. I believe it is the same as what I have on my 49 and 50's also but need to check one of these days to see if there are differences. One with a hook will be from later models. Not a very safe thing to use on the car at all.
