Ken, I would not try blowing the dent out. I think you might deform the tank, and if the worst happened and the tank ruptured, a spark could be catastrophic. If the dent has not made a crease, why not try pulling it? Clean the area well and get a strong suction cup. Possibly a glass carrying cup (I don't think that plunger in your bathroom will work). Harbor Freight has the glass cups for a reasonable price. http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=97732 http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=40993 http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=46134 Unless the bottom is really buckled, you should be able to pull the dent out to it's normal dimension. even if there is a crease left from the dent, at least it will be flat. If the part of the tank is not flat enough or smooth enough to use a suction cup, try one or two of the hot glue dent removers at the same time, depending on the size of the dent. Again, the surface must be clean for the glue to adhere. http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=94925 Hope this helps, Bill Huff At 5/16/200812:56 AM, Kenneth Wilson wrote: >Help! >Any ideas on how to get (pulling out) a dented in (underside) gas tank - >without having to remove and replace it?.
