IF I remember rightly, back in the 60's-70's if one managed to locate a set of replacement wires for the old hemis over the counter, you had to save the sparkplug boots off the old wires and put them on the new wire set, they came unfinished. Once you had the boot in place you then had to solder the terminal to the core so that it stayed on the wire once you had to start yanking on it to pull it off and on later. Did any replacement wire set, other then maybe dealer bought, ever include the sparky boots for the old hemi's. I do recall seeing a majority of replacement sets for the 426 coming fully ready to go. -- Paul Holmgren 2 57 300-C's in Indy Hoosier Corps #L6 A generation which ignores historyhas no past -- and no future. - RobertA.
