I ordered a set of the DVD's on e-Bay also and just finished watching the DVD with shots from the '55 & '56 Darlington 500's. Tim and Fonty Flock were piloting 1955 Chrysler 300's in the '55 race and a Ford and a Merc in '56. There were numerous good shots of the C-300's qualifying and racing but they did not win either year. A couple of good shots of Fonty spinning his C-300 (once qualifying and once racing). The 1956 Chrysler 300B won the pole in '56 after qualifying at a new record speed of 120 mph. Buck Baker and a Mr. Thompson were piloting the Chryslers in 1956. Sound and images are great. Worth the $13-$16 for a trip back in time. Average speed of 92 MPH won in 1955, 95 MPH in 1956. Qualifying at 115-120 MPH for four laps. I just purchased a new DVD set at Sam's Club entitled "Stock Cars of 50's and 60's". It consists of four DVD's, each one approximately 1 hour long, with actual footage of NASCAR and other races from 1955 through 1962. It also includes footage of Chevy's, Mopars and Fords in comparison tests. Some especially nice footage of 1955 and 1956 Chrysler 300's running at the Darlington Southern 500 racetrack and some pretty fantastic pileups. Also, some of the last races at the old Daytona Speedway (in convertibles no less) as the transition is made from an old highway and beach track to the new asphalt track designed for speeds of 200MPH. If you like vintage films of this era of old cars, you will most likely enjoy this DVD set which is priced at $15.43. David Coston, P.E.
