Simple, it would have been an Adventurer 440

Also, another tip off that there's a little "poetic license" in this seller's desctiption, would the mention of a 440 in a Chrysler being a "Super Commando". Wrong. Mr Nitpick here says:Chrysler HiPo = TNT 440Dodge HiPo = 440 MagnumPlymouth HiPo = Super Command 440Just for fun, what do you suppose a 440 in a '68 DeSoto would have been called (had there been a '68 DeSoto)?Happy Easter everyone.Best Regards,TFM'57 300C eagerly awaiting spring here in OH....>>> "Rick Ehrmann" <tc440@xxxxxxxxxxx> 3/22/2008 10:23 PM >>>Yes, Joe, the 440 TNT was the top performance option for 1968 Chryslers. You can identify it by the high performance exhaust manfolds as opposed to the exhaust logs on the standard 350 hp 440 and the twin snorkel air cleaner with the "440 TNT" decal. The best way to ID that the car was ordered with this engine is to check the VIN. A 300 cv would begin with CM27L. The "L" indicates the 440 TNT option. The one on ebay now is a standard engine 300 convertible - CM27K. Sellers often misrepresent this. Buyer beware. I found out all about the 68's when I bought a 68 300 convertible with virtually every option including the TNT engine in 1997. When you ordered the TNT, you also automatically got the heavy duty suspension with a front sway bar, and I think, the front disc brakes.Rick Ehrmann----- Original Message ----- From: HighOctane300H@xxxxxxx To: chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Saturday, March 22, 2008 9:49 PMSubject: [Chrysler300] Item number: 120233247378Just for my personal knowledge. Is it possible for a 68' 300 to have a 440 ci with 375 hp?Joe Gross70 Chrysler 300 HurstEnglewood, FL.HighOctane300H@xxxxxxx **************Create a Home Theater Like the Pros.
