Hello all 61 grill owners...I had my grill surround re-chromed a couple of years ago and when I got it back I used a small sanding pen (from a kit to touch-up rock chips) to lightly rough up the bottom of the CHRYSLER lettering. Then I carefully masked around the lettering and sprayed white automotive touch up spray paint into the letters. It came out super nice and is holding up real well. The main trick was to do a good job with the masking tape. I started with thin masking tape, then wider tape, then newspaper so the front end was safe from over-spray. I did it right on the car in my driveway on a nice warm sunny day... Used one thin coat of paint after another until it came out exactly like I thought it should be.
