John Cote: I was glad to receive a postcard from you today advising that you will be offering sill plates and filler plates for 2-door 1955-56 Chryslers/De Sotos/Imperials. While the sill plates in our 1955 Chrysler 300 are ok, the car is missing the filler plates. Please reserve me a pair of the filler plates at the advertised price of $69 plus S/H. If you are also reproducing the clips that hold the filler plates to the sill plates, I will need enough of those for both sides. Just in case you are a little reluctant to put this good news in front of the Club, I'm copying this communication to the server. Those interested can contact you directly for further information. I will be interested in seeing the surface finish of the filler plates. My sill plates are sort of a dull mildly anodized finish but I have seen some with highly polished plates (over restored?). If the filler plate finish is drastically different from our sill plates, I may need to buy a complete matching set. Thank you for your efforts to recreate and market these important and hard-to-find trim pieces.
