Hi Gerald, I too have read not to use distilled water. As I remember, the reason given was that since it has no minerals in it, it wants to leach minerals from it's surroundings. In the case of one's radiator, that would be lead solder and other softer metals. That may be where solder bloom comes from. The article recommended tap water or bottled drinking water I believe. Don't know if it is true or not, but I never used distilled water and never had a problem, but then we always had good tasting drinking water.
