Hi Stan - Have you considered speaking to Classic Auto Air in Tampa? They're not too far from you. http://www.classicautoair.com/Factory.asp They offer a number of services, and may be able to build up an original-spec compressor and other parts to complete a working system. They probably won't be cheap, but I've heard they do good work. With a description of what you have now, they could likely give you a ballpark figure over the phone. Evaporator, compressor and rest of hardware are missing. Does anyone out there have any experience in raising an A/C from the grave? Any guesses as to cost? I'm sure it would be more cost effective to start fresh with a modern aftermarket job, but I'd like to keep it as close to original as possible. I'd appreciate any thoughts.
