Wayne: I couldn't tell whether or not you were limiting your database to 300C's or not, but here is the interesting combination on my '55 C-300 -as per Chrysler IBM build ticket from Gil. Chassis VIN: 3N551198 (#198 of 1725) Engine S/N: 3NE551098 (#98 of ???) Build Date: 3/12/55 The engine is 'zackly 100 units "younger" than the chassis. I understand there was no effort to match VIN & S/N. Of course this occurs towards the end of the production year. Again, of the few I have, this happens to be our own Rob Kern's C with VIN 3216 and engine 3312. There are several other candidates but I don't have the engine number. Anyone that would like to send me their original engine number from production records is welcome to do so and I'll add it to the data base. If you are sending me a number and it is NOT the original engine to the chassis, please state so.
