Thanks Group for your input on my leaking wiper pivot shafts. I knew I had a pair in the barn. After searching thru a dozen or so boxes, bingo! Here's what I see for sealing: The foam rectangular gasket between flange and firewall ( which could be fabricated from old bike tire tube), a rubber seal of sorts at the base of the pivot, above the flange surface. I'm thinking this could be duplicated with black RTV about 1/4" diameter evenly around base of shaft. And both mounting bolts appeared to be sealed at hex head side of flange. Found pairs of door handles which need re-plating, and odd's and ends of small body parts etc. Thank the Gods for storage. thank you'all 300K ly Dave __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
