My brake booster went out in 62 a few years ago and in my many trips to the junkyard I picked up a Midland-Ross unit to use temporarily. It's been five years and I keep meaning to get the original ( I think) Bendix booster rebuilt. I put the Midland-Ross booster on with the master cylinder that came with it. Had a bit of pedal travel at first due to the bore of the master cylinder being 7/8" as opposed to 1" (the booster came out of a 63). Since then I've changed the front spindles and brakes to 64 units, $50 at a junkyard and a vast improvement over the 62 brakes. Pedal travel is perfect and the brakes have been working great for years.
