We are remiss in not cautioning the technician to remove the ground cable first and be sure to wear safety goggles and gloves if you get to wire brushing connections. Wire brushes tend to spit out wire fragments and corrosion and metal particles. A careful soda solution wipedown of the underhood area and battery may also be in order after cleanup. Those little particles of lead and copper sulfate still have acid power and will do a job on eyes, skin, paint and exposed metal. Then remove other cable end. Soak connections if necessary in baking soda/water mixture, dry and polish inside terminal. Sometimes better to remove battery if can be done safely and clean battery tray and battery case and clean and polish battery posts. When all this is accomplished, put everything back trhe way it was and the mystery problem normally disappears.
