I posted a question about replacing the wheel studs on my 63 Chrysler because the standard 1 inch studs didn't give allow the lug nuts to grab enough with my vintage Cragar rims. It was suggested that I use some 3" Moroso wheels studs instead, but it seems from some that the job of replacing them isnt the easiest. I thought I would just have to drive out the old, and put in the new... but maybe its a bigger magilla than that. The newest suggestion was to use specific Cragar wheel nuts with a longer shank that goes into the rims itself. They come in different lengths and diameter so I'll have to try to figure out ones that will fit. For comparision I posted some photos of the rims, and I used a DIME to show the approx size of the holes in the rims. The rims themselves are vintage 1969 Cragar rims, the only ID number I have is 26129 from the boxes. Anyone know the diameter of a dime? ;-) Photos: http://www.flickr.com/photos/60113804@N00/sets/72157600817846244/ To send a message to this group, send an email to: Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx For list server instructions, go to http://www.chrysler300club.com/yahoolist/inst.htm For archives go to http://www.forwardlook.net/300-archive/ Yahoo!
