[Chrysler300] Re:slow starting 55 new yorker



Anywhere in the several answers did anyone mention to look and see if the ground strap from engine to firewall was left out when the engine was returned to the chassis?  That is critical.  And even if it is there, it will likely help some to add another ground strap if possible directly from one of the starter bolts to the frame, or failing room for that from one of the right side engine-to-bellhousing bolts to the frame.  Also, was the paint SCRAPED from the back side of the restored starter AND from the mounting surface of the engine?  All these ground points largely determine how fast that engine will crank.
