[Chrysler300] Fwd: Meadow Brook Concours d'Elegance Update to Participating Clubs!

More info, please respond to me off list, if you want to attend, or are
interested in handling the group. Note they say:
?The Class of ?57,? a group of exceptional Convertibles from that
memorable year and, ?American Super Stock,? a circle of
high-performance cars dating from before the Muscle Car era. I think
many of our members cars will be welcomed here.

Here's the latest from them to me:

Dear Club Coordinator, This year?s Meadow Brook Concours d?Elegance
-- to be held on Sunday, August 5 -- will host new features that will
captivate the enthusiast and stir the imagination of all who attend.
The 2007 event will include, for the first time, a vintage motorcycle
class. It will feature ?Forty Fours? in what will perhaps be the
largest showing of rare 4-cylinder bikes ever. On the car side,
the Meadow Brook Concours will feature, ?The Class of ?57,? a group of
exceptional Convertibles from that memorable year and, ?American Super
Stock,? a circle of high-performance cars dating from before the
Muscle Car era. There will also be more than 20 additional classes
showcasing the world?s finest automobiles for all to admire and enjoy.
The Alfa Romeo Club is having their annual convention around the
Concours d?Elegance and they are planning to have over 300 Alfa Romeo
vehicles in the Car Club parking area! On the Concours field, several
very special classes of Alfa Romeo models will include stunning
examples of the fabulous 8C 2900 and 8C 2300 cars, in addition to a
host of other legendary sports and racing Alfas! This year?s
annual selection of coachbuilt cars will include, from the United
States, Classics bodied by Murphy and from Europe, a grouping of cars
by the French coachbuilder Saoutchik, whose fabulously flamboyant
coachwork graced chassis originating from many countries. As
always, the Meadow Brook Concours will feature the Grand Classics such
as a 1932 Isotta Fraschini 8A, 1935 Hispano Suiza KG Cabriolet and the
incomparable 1932 Bucciali TAV 12 Berline by Saoutchik (please see
attached picture). The Henry Ford Museum is planning to bring their
crown jewel, the 1931 Bugatti Royale Cabriolet, one of six production
Royales made and undoubtably one of world?s most valuable automobiles.
In addition to the Car Club parking making it the best
car-enthusiast tailgate party you have ever seen, we are pleased to
note that car enthusiast extraordinaire Bob Lutz, Vice Chairman,
Global Product Development for General Motors remains our Chief Judge.
This will be a world class event you and your club members should
not miss. In order for us to reserve parking for your club we ask you
to give us an idea about your club?s plans for attending.
