Hey gang. Hoping I can get some confirmation (or correction) of my diagnosis on the "hissing" brake booster on my G. It hisses when stepping on the brake pedal, otherwise seems to work normally. Pedal height is a bit low but I'm told that is normal on these, and I realize that is all about the master cylinder, not the booster. When testing the booster, it passes this test: with engine off, pump pedal a few times until hard, then, with foot on pedal, start engine, pedal sinks just a bit. I'm told that means the booster is doing it's job. However, should it be hissing at all? I don't believe so, and I'm concerned about it going out when I really need it. So, I'm considering sending out the booster to get it rebuilt. I hate to disable the car for that period of time, but without a correct rebuilt booster in hand, I guess I have no choice. Can anyone confirm or correct my diagnosis? Thanks much.
