We have a '62 300 Sport that used to have a 383/2 barrell. That motor was almost dead, so one Christmas I gave Jennifer a 1964 413 block out of an Imperial limo, as the Imperial owner had thrown in a 440 to help tow his Cord to Concourse shows. Anyway...Jennifer was thrilled with the 413 along with a dual point distributor and dual intake. Time marched on and we collected the correctly numbered Carter's along with their inter-connecting piece of linkage. Here's the question, finally: Is the entire throttle and transmission linkage the same for all 1962 models EXCEPT the H's dual carb inter-connecting piece? I cannot seem to get the gas pedal to completely throw open both carbs all the way. I have the rod needed when making all linkage adjustments and followed the shop manual precisely. I heard a rumor that the H's may have had a longer piece of linkage coming off the firewall to the rear carb, but I do not know if that is correct. Puzzled and needing to go faster and burn more gas in Southern California... Matt Allyn Exec. in Charge of Prod.
