I'm in the two radio business and my suppliers such as Kenwood offer their service manuals in CD format as well of course as the regular paper type. At first, I scoofed at the CD format but there are instances where that format is preferred since you can at will print whatever page or schematic that you may need and not have to worry about messing it up as it's a very simple matter to just print another one later when needed. They (Kenwood) have done an excellent job of scanning their manuals so the print quality is perfect. Just my 2 cents worth about manuals on CD, Fern ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dave" <dintym@xxxxxxxxx> To: "Chrysler 300 Broadcast" <Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>; "Forward Look Broadcast" <l-forwardlook@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, October 31, 2006 6:37 AM Subject: Re: [Chrysler300] Shop Manuals I agree with Jean. The CD might be nice, but if the scanning quality isn't great, garbage-in, garbage-out. I am old school, books on paper, not CD!! (Well, maybe War and Peace, but not a car manual.) Anyway, consider the price of paper and ink today, and I'd opt for the book, if available and you don't have to sell your car to afford it. Have spooky Halloween! Now that I am restoring the H, I need clear diagrams/pictures/ detail photos, and the cd doesn't give enough detail (some pictures are too dark), so I bought a good old 1962 Chrysler Imperial Manual on eBay...paid a lot more than for the cd but I have clear diagrams, pictures and so on... Just a comment...
