Fwd: [Chrysler300] '56 Battery caps

Hi John and All:
Just wanted to let you know I received an email from Steve Hoker reminding  
me that the 300B sales literature shows a color picture of the engine  
compartment and the battery caps are red in it.  I had forgotten about that  picture.  
It is not a photo, but probably was made from one, contains  various color 
errors, but still is our best original Chrysler "statement" of  what color the 
battery caps were intended to be.  Guess it will have to  do!

had made color pictures in our car's years, things  would have been easier, 
that is for sure.  I have one factory  photo---black and white of course---that 
shows an original 300B engine  compartment.  The battery caps are a very dark 
gray color, but not quite  as black as the battery itself.  I would certainly 
guess they are red,  but who can say for sure?  I doubt there exists a color 
photo of an  ORIGINAL battery anywhere.  We certainly wouldn't, and haven't,
