Re: [Chrysler300] Leather Cleaner

Just do not use the Lexol brand that is also sold by my Mercedes dealer. I purchased it and used it on the seat of my then new Mercedes SEC. The interior was burgundy in color and a massive amount of color came off on the white cloth that I was using to apply it. So I only had done the driver seat when I decided that this was a bad idea. I then drove the car to the tennis court to play some tennis. When I arrived, one of my fellow tennis players axed what had happened to me. I was puzzled and axed what he meant. He said that my white tennis clothing was all burgundy on the seat of my shorts and my white shirt. Of course when I called Lexol to ask about it. They told me they were really sorry(they always are of course) and said that yes, they had similar complaints in the past with some auto interiors. I would suggest do a small sample of your interior in an out of the way place before using this product on your interior. Never occurred to them to post a warning on their packaging label.

Incidentally I have loved this product line for years. Not only for vinyl components of interiors, but also tires, radiator hoses and anything of rubber or vinyl.

Take a look at this site for leather care tips and car detailing tips in general. Incidentally it appears they are a 303 Protectant fans also.

I'd rather be in Lawton!

Mercedes Benz Have a good leather cleaner/conditioner
that I have used. You may also try GLYM or is it GLYN
products sold at boutique auto supply stores.
If it Crystalized it sound like it had a high sugar
content, warm water may be the best to disolve what is
there and then use the cleaner.
