I've owned a 61G coupe, 62 NYer Wagon, and also own a 74 Jensen Interceptor, all with a/c. The tensioner on the Jensen is stock equipment, maybe from mid 70's Chryslers or they engineered it themselves, I'm not sure which. When I last bought new belts from NAPA, my very knowledgeable counter guy told me that the manufacturing process at Gates (and others) was so superior now as opposed to 'the old days', that there wasn't a need to market match pairs of belts. The manufacturing tolerances were such that the belt to belt differences were no longer an issue. I bought two individual belts and put them on my car and they sure did seem almost identical in length/deflection on the car. The Interceptor tensioner is a good idea, and I'd recommend it as an add-on for safety to any Mopar a/c system. What I did discover, however, after sorting thru Napa's supply, is that each belt has it's own unique markings depending on where it was cut from the master roll. Luckily, I found two that were cut adjacent to each other. Because of the long span between the compressor and the alternator on B and RB engines fairly equal tension is especially important. Often, the pulleys don't line up too well, which also contributes to belt wobble and throwing. At a car show the other day, I noticed that a Jenson Interceptor had a (factory appearing) tensioner mounted about halfway between the compressor and alternator (JI's have RB engines)--a good cure for curing belt wobble.
