Good point, Marv. I am fortunate to have an experienced driveshaft shop in my area that can handle this task. The Driveshaft Shop, 208 E Blydenburgh Rd., Islandia, N.Y. 11749. (631) 348-1818 ... http://www.driveshaftshop.com/dssnc.ivnu apparently there has been some change of ownership.. Yes, a VERY large press is required to press the pin out and replace it. And, yes, it does have to be perfectly centered when reintalled / replaced. I believe that Mopar made a fixture to that effect which allows insertion of the pin only to a certain, speciic depth . So, Tom Powers, take note. If need be, ship your drivesahft to a competent shop. I believe within .006. I would have to check the specs but you will have to do it. Not every shop can press the shaft in. I haven't had to do one in years but I do recall the high load to press the pin out and in.
