Hello 300'ly to all! The left brain routine set in this am when it was still cool to drive Mopsy home after not having been able to drive her in 3 weeks. (something about going to Asheville, riding in a Duesenberg, work, work, work, and yard work). So you drive to the storage garage, carefully open the door to the garage, squeeze past the car to open the hood being careful not to let the belt buckle or jeans' rivets touch the paint, open the hood, connect the battery with Lazenby's battery cut off screw post, gently latch the hood, open the door being careful not to hit the velcro door guards you installed in the rented garage, slide in behind the wheel so not to scuff the Swedish sill plates, set the clock, turn on the ignition, flip the toggle switch for again another Lazenby product, the electric fuel pump, let pump run 10 seconds, engage neutral start button and listen to engine catch on what seems to be only the third revolution, turn off electric fuel pump, set concealed modern CD player to volume 19 and get track for GOOD GOOLY MISS MOLLY!, lower all windows, put in reverse, smile, smile, smile, and back out. Then jump out , park PT Cruiser in storage garage, close door and lock, open Mopsy's hood and smile while she is idling with choke set, close hood snugly, slide in behind wheel, click door shut, fasten seat belt, hit drive button and off we go!! 70 mph on first road, then expressway past Fall 2006 300 Club International Meeting site at Best Western Hotel & Convention Center. Now the right brain takes over with the wind in your hair, the 392 throbbing, the vision of Letter Cars and Hursts in the hotel parking lot, going down the newly paved country road to home, seeing the mare on the top of the hill with her new colt along side (she flicks her tail when you drive by) and on into the neighborhood where all the soccer moms are power walking in their spandex giving you the eyes right when they see the C! Home to give her a bath (the C) to knock the dust off and then nestling her in the garage. All this so that when you are pruning the rose hedges that the prickers don't sting while you're smiling at Mopsy in eyesight in the garage! FORWARDLOOKING TO SEEING YOU IN LAWTON SEPTEMBER 27th to OCTOBER1st! More to come after the Memorial Day holiday weekend. Guaranteed the yard work will be done and the left and right brain will be balanced. ROB KERN [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------ Yahoo!
